The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) Board of Trustees has appointed Atty. Patrick Lester N. Ty as the new Chief Regulator of the MWSS Regulatory Office (RO). Atty. Ty will serve in an official capacity starting August 1, 2017 until the end of his term on 2022.
In line with Resolution No. 2017-083-RO, Atty. Ty’s appointment was approved by the MWSS Board of Trustees pursuant to the authority vested on them under Article II of the MWSS By-Laws and Article XI of the Concession Agreement.
From 2010 to 2017, Atty. Ty was the Deputy Administrator of the Authority of the Freeport area of Bataan. From 2006 to 2010, he was the Special Legal Assistant of the Department of Finance. He worked in the Central Bank Board of Liquidators, UP Institute of Government and Law Reform, and Ocampo and Manalo Law Firm. Atty. Ty finished his undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the Ateneo de Manila. He then obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law in 2003.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Regulator, Atty. Ty led the Financial Regulation Area of the Regulatory Office as Deputy Administrator.
