STP of the Week: Bahay Toro Sewage Treatment PlantThe MWSS Regulatory Office (RO)’s STP of the Week is the Bahay Toro Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in Quezon City. This STP is being operated by Maynilad Water Services, Inc.

Built in a relatively small lot, the Bahay Toro STP ensures a high-quality wastewater treatment process that helps in minimizing pollutants in the San Juan River Basin.

Wastewater from households and other establishments are collected and treated by STPs to remove contaminants before it is released back into the environment. The treatment involves processes that change the physical, chemical or biological, and radiological composition of wastewater to reduce or prevent pollution.

The MWSS RO monitors the compliance of these STPs with the local and national standards on wastewater treatment to protect the health and safety of the public and the environment, especially our water resources.

Follow our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/MWSS.RO) and Twitter account (https://twitter.com/mwssro) to learn more about the different STPs and Septage Treatment Plants (SpTPs) that serve the East and West Concession Areas.

Protect your health and the environment through sewage and septage management! 👍
