The MWSS Regulatory Office‘s Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) of the Week is the FTI Sewage and Septage Treatment Plant. This Sewage and Septage Treatment Plant is being operated by Manila Water.
Built at the Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI) Complex in Taguig City, the FTI Sewage and Septage Treatment Plant helps in lessening health hazards from wastewater in the East Concession Area.
Wastewater from households and other establishments are collected and treated by STPs to remove contaminants before it is released back into the environment. The treatment involves processes that change the physical, chemical or biological, and radiological composition of wastewater to reduce or prevent pollution.
The MWSS RO monitors the compliance of these STPs with the local and national standards on wastewater treatment to protect the health and safety of the public and the environment, especially our water resources.
Follow our Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/MWSS.RO) and Twitter account (https://twitter.com/mwssro) to learn more about the different STPs and Septage Treatment Plants (SpTPs) that serve the East and West Concession Areas.
Protect your health and the environment through sewage and septage management!
