The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) is preparing for its 4th Public Dialogue next week with water consumers in the province of Rizal to keep its torch of commitment burning and reap excellent customer service in the delivery of its mandate.
MWSS-RO Chief Regulatory Joel Yu said that there is a growing certainty about the value of public dialogues in upholding the welfare of the Filipino consumers and addressing the mounting problems encountered in dealing with various matters related to water and sewerage services.
“Our commitment is reflected in everything we do, from consumer awareness initiatives to community partnerships. By promoting their welfare and protection, we inspire them to get involved in creating an optimal high-performance environment for Filipino consumers through public dialogues and information caravans,” Yu said.
He explained that the public dialogue is a venue where customers will not only raise their pressing concerns but also be engaged in a discussion with MWSS-RO and other invited government agencies whose mandate and functions cover various matters related to water service to improve policies that will benefit them.
The MWSS-RO will conduct its 4th Public Dialogue on 13 November 2014 at One Arena Cainta Gym in San Juan, Cainta, Rizal to address the escalating problems encountered by the customers involving bulk and clustered meters.
Invited to attend the public dialogue are officials of Laguna Lake Development Authority, National Housing Authority, National Water Resources Board, Cooperative Development Authority, Manila Water Company, Inc., and an estimated 500 participants from municipalities in Cainta, Taytay, Antipolo City and Pasig City.
The Public Dialogue is part of a series of activities of the MWSS Customers Service Regulation Area in line with its mandate to uphold Customers Welfare and Protection Services and sustain a total organizational commitment to greater customer satisfaction
The Cainta bulk and clustered meters forum is the fourth leg of a series of public dialogues. Similar dialogues were also held on 26 June, 6 August and 17 September with homeowners association, condominium and high-rise building administrators and People’s Organizations in Quezon City and Mandaluyong City. On 22 October 2014 the MWSS-RO rolled out its information caravan on water quality, billing and metering at Arroceros Business Area in Ermita, Manila.
