Employees of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) finished the Enterprise Geographical Information System (EGIS) Course on 20 April 2016. Aimed at developing the geodatabase design for the MWSS-RO, the course was conducted by Geodata Systems Technologies, Inc (Geodata) at the Geodata Training Center, Strata 100 Bldg., F. Ortigas Jr. Road, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.

Sixteen participants from MWSS-RO completed the training course which started with ArcGIS 1: Introduction to GIS and ArcGIS 2: Essential Workflows in January 2016. The third course, ArcGIS 4: Sharing Content on the Web and followed by Administering ArcGIS Online Subscription for Organizations were scheduled in April.  Led by EGIS Project Manager Joel Dominguez, the course can be used in the organization for more effective and useful decisions. Creating a map with a GIS and the use of other geoprocessing tools and techniques can be a vital source of information in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data. EGIS also aims to improve the company’s performance monitoring and reporting systems.
