This to inform the public that Maynilad Water Services, Inc. will undertake a pipe realignment of its 2000 mm (7-ft-diameter) primary line along Sobriedad cor. Cristobal St., Sampaloc, Manila to give way to a major flood control (drainage) project of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH). The West Zone Concessionaire will also conduct parallel activities such as leak repairs in various areas and maintenance works in several pumping stations.

In line with this, Maynilad will implement water service interruptions (WSIs) that will last from 25 to 85 hours in the cities of Manila, Parañaque, Makati, Pasay and Las Piñas, and the province of Cavite (cities of Imus, Bacoor, and Cavite and municipalities of Kawit, Noveleta, and Rosario), from 11:00 AM of 29 October (Friday) to 11:59 PM of 01 November 2021 (Monday).

The MWSS Regulatory Office (RO) has directed Maynilad to utilize all accessible online and offline communication channels, including the timely and effective coordination with concerned Local Government Units (LGUs), to inform and update customers on the list of affected areas, schedules, and other pertinent details of the WSIs prior to implementation. The agency has also directed the Concessionaire to ensure strict adherence to their announced WSI schedules, water tankering schedules, and static tank locations; and to immediately address inquiries or concerns on social media, website, hotline, or email regarding the WSI.

Meanwhile, the MWSS RO urges customers to monitor announcements and updates regarding the upcoming WSI in their respective areas, and to store enough water for the duration of the WSI.

Maynilad has committed to install 15 stationary water tanks and deploy 60 water tankers to ensure the availability of potable water in the affected areas. The MWSS RO advises the public to observe social distancing at the tankering sites to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
